Fiorucci Panini

1984 AND MANY THOUSANDS OF LIRE LATER THE FIORUCCI
STICKER ALBUM IS COMPLETE.
HAS ANYTHING EVER LOOKED QUITE SO GOOD?

Fiorucci was made for Panini and vice versa. The serial sticker album publisher worked their way through every World Cup and Star Wars sequel before reaching 1984's hyper fashion graphic nirvana. The Fiorucci Panini album is a work of pop perfection. Get a glimpse of heaven here.

It is of course a masterclass of brightly coloured retro-affected graphic design. The 1950s as reimagined in the early 1980s. Half Wurlitzer jukebox and half Sony Walkman.

... and Electron - our favourite section! Twenty eight stickers of early anologue electronics and simplified circuitry. Perfectly preseved from 1984, the album is both complete and completely brilliant. Wow!

Fiorucci was always a graphic invention. The clothes (spray-on crop tops and skin tight jeans) were sized smaller than most sixteen year olds. Second to designing school satchels and lunch boxes (which they did) they couldn't have got closer to the target market than with a sticker album.

And sexy too. No-one cut hot pants hotter than Elio Fiorucci. This image from the 'Fiorucci Story' section. There are two hundred stickers themed by Romance, Pin-Up, Dance, Swim...

Image of the week is actually from a 1980/81 Fiorucci clothing catalogue. See it in all its brilliance here . Nothing can express how much we would like to find a 'High Score 1980' knit jumper... just an awful lot that's all.
